cortex_house — la maison de l'IA à Paris

AI moves too fast to think alone.

manifeste

cortex_house. AI moves too fast to think alone.

L'infrastructure sert l'essentiel : collaboration, cas d'usage, incubation, exécution, impact. Un parti pris assumé : show, don't tell, ship.

manifesto

cortex_house. AI moves too fast to think alone.

cortex_house starts from a conviction: artificial intelligence is moving too fast for anyone to think it through alone. No lab, no startup, no corporation, no institution holds all the answers. They emerge at the intersections, where research meets entrepreneurship, where code meets real-world use, where technology meets society.

Conceived more than a year ago by Pierre-Eric Leibovici, Pierre-Yves Meerschman and Albin Serviant, and since joined by Romain Allouch and Paul Jeannest, the project grew out of a simple question: how can we better showcase French excellence in AI by connecting the people who build it?

cortex_house is a House of AI designed as an engine of collective intelligence, from development to deployment. Both a media platform and a place to meet, experiment and cooperate, it brings together researchers, entrepreneurs, corporates, students, academics, creators, public institutions, investors and partners to test their ideas against reality, then accelerate and deploy them. Its value is not measured in square metres but in what flows between people: knowledge, use cases, talent, decisions.

This collective intelligence does not stop at the experts. The project is open to civil society, to build broad understanding of what AI means and how it is used: a technology that transforms everyone's life cannot be shaped by insiders alone.

The infrastructure serves what matters: collaboration, use cases, incubation, execution and impact. Our stance, unapologetically: show, don't tell, ship.

cortex_house is already being built the way it will operate: together. A collective of more than 60 entrepreneurs and leaders backs the project, each in their own way, through their network, their expertise or a financial commitment. Among them: Arthur Mensch (Mistral AI), Stanislas Polu (Dust), Cédric O (Mallow), Gautier Cloix (H Company), Rayan Nait Mazi (Pruna AI), Fred Plais (Upsun), Aymeric Preveral (Lithosquare), Thibaud Hug de Larauze (Back Market), Alexis Thual (Karavela), Wiem Gharbi (Ankar), Claire Calmejane (Foundever), Boris Toledano (Linkup), Julie Walbaum, Edouard Nattée (Wilgo), Yann Lechelle (Probabl), Sixte de Vauplane (Animaj), Thomas Clozel (Owkin), Louis Abraham (Conception), Paul Belloti (Modjo), Vincent Luciani (Artefact), Gilbert Reveillon (CES), Clara Gaymard and Gonzague de Blignières (Raise), Aymeril Hoang (Caisse des Dépôts), Guillaume Decugis (Serena Capital), Matthieu Creux (Forward Global), Luc Serviant (Airtel Africa), Stéphanie Zolesio (Casino Immo), Jack Habra (Climate House), Louis Carle and Etienne Portais (Curiosity), Mathieu Michaud (Himalaya), Pierre-Yves Calloch (Paradygma), Sacha Morard (Edgee), Matthieu Nicoletti (Comet), Paul Jourdan Nayrac (Gide) and Thibault Viort. The project is entering its final structuring phase, with an opening planned for 2027.

The French Government has identified cortex_house as one of the strategic projects in its one-year review of national action on artificial intelligence. The approach is open and collective. The initiative is supported by the Île-de-France Region, the Banque des Territoires, the Métropole du Grand Paris, the City of Paris, Inria, CNRS, the three Paris AI clusters (PR[AI]RIE, DATAIA, Hi! PARIS), French Tech Grand Paris (Alexandra André), France Digitale (Maya Noël), the Mission French Tech (Julie Huguet), ESSEC Metalab, ESCP Business School, KEDGE Business School and Le Wagon, as well as student AI associations, developer communities and the wider ecosystem.

The project is led by Albin Serviant and Paul Jeannest.
